I will declare in armour of confidence,
Strength of my soul and life of my breath,
The reigning rage of my heart, that beats
Itself out of the grave of rest:
For I shall reveal my skin, courage yet unseen,
Gems of flaws that pave the roads of the great,
Their heroism I copied trait for trait -
For your eyes, a dream.
Shall I fall on death ears, friend? For I perceive,
Mind of clay forged into the simplest mold,
I’ll keep your flesh ablaze: fires of my soul
Burn hearts till wounds cease to bleed:
Ask it for yourself, a key to chains of past,
But should you rest your rise upon mine
Even in heaven’s light, you shall walk blind -
It is a one soul task.
How, should I rise and you refuse to rise? For then,
I should miss you, your absence I’ll heave:
My departure from you, I’ll dearly grieve
My tears be ink of a poets pen.
Should it be that you’re content as you’re placed:
Fear of failure your heart to the brim fills,
You shun life, the soul and all hearts thrills -
Even in heaven, tears of loss I shall taste.
